Battle of Dazar'alor Boss Guides»Stormwall Blockade Guide
The most important job on this fight in Mythic difficulty is that you can dispel curses with Remove Curse. Bwonsamdi’s Wrath is a curse that makes a player un-healable and you can only remove this by dispelling it, so make sure to keep your eyes on your raid frames and help out your raid as much as you can. Right boat moved around the boat with the boss and stacked them on the tank. Why we have two separate strategies no one really knows but at the end of the day the thing killing people far more than swell placement as long as it's not terrible is boss damage, either the lightning bolts or stacking the other aoe ability brother does.

Overview
Stormwall Blockade is the second Horde story encounter that Alliance will experience through a flashback where they will be transformed into Horde races. Regardless of faction, the encounter is exactly the same. Much like Opulence, your raid will be split into two teams for the first part of this two phase encounter.Mythic Blockade Swell Dmg Stacked 2
Fight Basics
- This encounter has two phases and requires two tanks.
- Split your raid up evenly into two teams.
- One team will take the left flight path to Sister Katherine while the other will take the right one to Brother Joesph.
- The bosses do not pull when you land on the ship, get everyone in position on their ship before engaging.
Phase 1
- The mini bosses will pull based on proximity, engage them at the same time.
- Each mini boss has unique abilities that the players on that ship will have to deal with.
- On Heroic difficulty, the mini bosses swap ships at 50% HP, requiring everyone to know both sets of mechanics.
- Sister Katherine Abilites
- Jolting Volley - this does damage to everyone on the ship periodically.
- Crackling Lightning - this debuffs a random player then ~4 seconds later wherever they are standing gets marked. A few seconds after that a ~5 yard burst of magic damage occurs, followed by Thunderous Boom. This expands in a ring for 12 yards dealing heavy damage and silencing players hit by it.
- Voltaic Flash - Katherine creates balls of lightning on the edges of the ship which shoot across dealing heavy damage to anyone hit.
- Electric Shroud - this is an absorb shield on Katherine that must be broken. Once broken her cast must be kicked. This cast channels energy into the boss, and if the boss ever hits 100 energy, it instantly kills the entire raid.
- Brother Joesph Abilities
- Tidal Volley - this deals frost damage to all players on the ship.
- Sea Storm - Joesph will mark random players and deal frost damage to anyone within 5 yards. This also leaves behind patches of frost
which slow anyone who stands in them. - Sea's Temptation - a Siren will appear on the side of the ship and cast Tempting Song on a random player. This will pull them toward the end of the ship and the Siren must be killed or the player will die.
- Tidal Shroud - this is an absorb shield that must be broken so Joesph can be interrupted. If he is not interrupted, the boss gains energy and it is a wipe.
- Both Sister Katherine and Brother Joesph need to die at the same time. When they die, they begin channeling energy into the boss until the other one dies as well.
- Phase two begins with both Sister Katherine and Brother Joesph are killed and the raid clicks the translocation pedestal to port to the dock.
Phase 2
- The raid must kill Laminaria to end the encounter.
- The active tank apply the Kelp-Wrapped debuff which deals damage and reduces movement speed.
- When this debuff falls off, all players and adds within 10 yards will take 10% increased damage, per stack of Kelp-Wrapped.
- This is the main taunt swap mechanic of the phase.
- The boss will also cast Sea Swell on random players which deals a burst of frost damage to anyone within ~5 yards.
- This also creates a tidepool at their location that acts as area denial.
- Storm's Wail will be applied to random players as well and lasts for 10 seconds. This debuff allows players to clear tidepools.
- When the debuff expires, it will create a Energized Storm which will move toward the boss.
- If the add reaches the boss, it will grant it energy. The add must be killed.
- On Heroic difficulty, when the add dies, it will drop an orb that must be looted, which applies a new Storm's Wail debuff to the looter.
- The boss will cast Ire of the Deep on random locations at the docks. This must be soaked by players as the damage is split amongst anyone in the circle.
Strategies by Role
All Roles
- Ensure your raid is evenly split and on their assigned boats before starting the encounter.
- Minimizing the energy gain of the boss is the main goal, you instantly wipe if the boss hits 100 energy.
- Players on Katherine's boat should drop their Crackling Lightning in the far corner of the ship away from the group.
- Players on Joesph's boat should drop Sea Storm patches near the center to slow the players the Siren's tempt.
- All players are capable of soaking Ire of the Deep in Phase 2. Ideally 3-4 players per soak.

- On Joesph's ship, DPS must all switch to the Siren the moment they spawn.
- Joesph and Katherine must be killed at the same time, control DPS and bring them down evenly.
- In Phase 2, focus DPS on the Energized Storm adds.
Healers

Tanks
- Taunt swaps should be done whenever new Energized Storm adds spawn.
